Finnish progressive metal band Oddland completed a European tour in April/May with fellow progressive outfits Wolverine and Until Rain. They tell us the tour was a great time, and the video they recorded on the road for the song “Penumbra” backs it up.
In addition to plenty of live shots, the “Penumbra” video shows Oddland and their tour mates goofing around in between shows.
“The video was shot during the triple headlining ‘Progressive Aspects Tour 2017’ with Wolverine and Until Rain across Europe,” vocalist/guitarist Sakari Ojanen says. “The tour was a shitload of fun so the craziness naturally transferred into the video as well. The song ‘Penumbra’ touches on the theme of the human need of belonging, so with all the friends we made along the tour, especially the guys in the other bands, the song was the perfect fit for the video. The video was shot and edited completely by the band’s drummer, Ville Viitanen.”
“Penumbra” comes from Oddland’s 2016 album, Origin, on Sensory Records.
