Stoner/doom outfit Dead Quiet are ready to issue their second LP, Grand Rites, in November. Balancing doomed out arrangements with melody, the group (which features current and former members of Anciients, 3 Inches of Blood and more) have also taken a political stance on their newest single, “Fucking Oath,” without compromising their love of riffs.
“We aren’t an overtly political band but here and there something has to be said about how absolutely mangled the world is right now,” bandleader Kevin Keegan says. “‘Fucking Oath’ is about the ensuing environmental degradation of the planet and those who are standing up and trying to do something about it. Oh, and there’s a few riffs in there too.”
