When the scalpel drops, there’s no anesthesia—just unrelenting Irish death metal carnage. Crimson Butchery are back with Stalker, their third slab of surgical brutality, and we’re thrilled to slice into the premiere of its gnarly fourth track, “Lab Rat.”
Recorded by the band and given a weaponized mix/master by Floor van Kuijk at GLDCHN Studios, “Lab Rat” is a frantic, blood-smeared cyclone of blast beats, guttural snarls, and meat-grinder riffing. True to the band’s name, there’s nothing elegant or restrained about this cut—it’s pure aural vivisection.
Formed in 2021, Crimson Butchery has wasted no time establishing itself as one of Ireland’s most ferocious new death metal acts. With Stalker, they channel the precision of Cannibal Corpse, the insanity of Cattle Decapitation, and the relentless grind of Dying Fetus, injecting their own manic DNA into the mix.
We don’t know what this poor subject did to end up on the slab, but if you can stomach it, press play and watch the experiments begin. Pre-order Stalker here.
