10 years ago I made my very first YouTube video. I was young and naive enough to literally call it “Guthrie Govan solo played by 18-year-old girl”. Despite my subsequent embarrassment of the title I chose, I have to say that due to that video my career had taken so many amazing and unexpected turns since. To celebrate the anniversary of that, I decided to re-make the same cover, only played way better. So here it is, for your viewing pleasure: “Guthrie Govan solo played by 28-year-old girl”!! 😉 Thank you so so much for your continued support over the last 10 years.
Nilick of the Week #117 is a short improv over the solo section of my tune “The Chase” from my last record. Note: I improvised the original version, so I then had to transcribe what I did and re-play it note-for-note for the fast and slow versions. Hope you enjoy it!
