Karnivool announce new album ‘In Verses’

KARNIVOOL have announced a brand new album!

The upcoming album, titled In Verses, is the Australian progressive rock band fourth studio record and is scheduled to be released in February next year via Cymatic Records and Sony Music. It marks the long-awaited follow-up to 2013’s Asymmetry.

The announcement comes alongside the release of a new single, Aozora, which arrives with an official music video. Already a staple in their live set, the frenetic track – named after the Japanese word for “blue sky”- explores themes of escape and self-reflection.

Speaking about the new single, vocalist Ian Kenny shares, “The whole theme for that song is escaping, or waiting to escape. Trying to find a way to escape yourself. The idea of finding freedom in the blue. Trying to find freedom amongst the complications of just being human. We’re so weird, you know? Trying to understand that at different times along the road, sometimes you end up with more questions than answers.”
