HIMALAYAS have announced a new album!
Titled Bad Star, the upcoming album from the Welsh rock band is the follow-up to 2023’s From Hell To Here, and is scheduled to be released in April this year, via Nettwerk Music Group.
Speaking about the upcoming album, frontman Joe Williams shares, “the themes are based upon the disaster of men and the fact that we create our own problems a lot of the time. Disaster happens, and that comes through in every facet of the album, whether that’s a positive thing or negative thing.” Guitarist Mike Griffiths shares, “we didn’t go into writing it thinking we’d say this, but it turned out, everything’s fucked. That’s how all the songs ended up going: Everything’s fucked.”
Alongside the announcement of the new album, HIMALAYAS have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Afterlife. The new song is the third single to be released from the upcoming album, following on from Nothing Higher and Hung Up.
Speaking about the new song, Williams says, “everyone prays for something better, or thinks there’s something better coming once you get past the right now. I wanted to explore the idea that maybe there won’t be something better than what we have currently and embracing that.”
