HEBI KATANA have announced a new album!
Titled Imperfection, the upcoming album from the Tokyo-based stoner doom metal band is the follow-up to 2023’s III, and is scheduled to be released in July this year, via Ripple Music.
The upcoming album was written and recorded in parallel of a tour with the same lineup as III – features lyrics inspired by Matsuo Basho and Tanizaki Junichiro‘s ‘wabi sabi’ ‘beauty of imperfection’ and ‘enso’ based on the unique Japanese spiritual world. This new album intends to refine their signature doom and proto-hard rock sound, merging loud roaring riffs with beaming melodies.
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Dead Horse Requiem.
