Google Play Music has added New Release Radio, which serves up new releases based on the user’s your personal tastes. New Release Radio joins Spotify’s Release Radar and other streaming efforts to help fans unearth new music and deep catalog in an ever growing library of 40 million tracks.
Google Play Music’s just launched New Release Radio uses machine learning to select singles and album releases from the past two weeks based on the users listening history and musical preferences. Google bills it as, “a really quick way to check out all-new music that’s tailored just for you.”
As part of their global partnership with Samsung, Google has been gathering feedback on New Release Radio from Samsung users through an early access program. The response, says Google, has been very positive.
