Global Grindcore Alliance Brings International Bands Together

Festival season came and went this year, absent hordes of longhairs and battle vest-wearing grind freaks. Fortunately, the latter category will have the opportunity to pretend they’re moshing next to a blow-up doll in the Czech Republic while a slew of international grindcore bands perform via Global Grindcore Alliance‘s upcoming livestream festival.

The online festival, which takes place on December 19 and 20, features 20 different grindcore bands from various locations around the world, including Bandit, Antigama, Cognizant, Chepang, Meth Leppard, Takafumi Matsubara and more. Each band, selected by festival organizers, recorded high-quality audio and video of a performance that will be aired for the first time during the Global Grindcore Alliance.

In addition, GCBT Records are slated to release the compilation tape Global Grindcore Alliance Vol 1.0, which features songs from each artist on the festival, including a number of new tracks. It will be available digitally and on cassette on December 19.

Tickets for Global Grindcore Alliance are on sale now at this link for $10 per day. Unwashed dreadlocks, spilled beer and merch table punishers not included.
