GIGI GOLD has released a new music video!

The new music video, for the track You Ain’t Changed, is taken from the American alternative-folk artist’s upcoming debut EP, Souvenirs, which is scheduled to be released in July this year, via Marshall Records.

Speaking about the new song, and its accompanying music video, the artist says, “[You Ain’t Changed is] about that painful moment when you realise the person you pined for is not who you thought they were… I was inspired by Wes Anderson and THE BEATLES movie Help! for the video. I really admire Wes Anderson’s use of color, symmetry, and the dreamlike quality of his films. I wanted to collaborate with a female videographer and thought of my talented friend, Cindel Oh. She loved the ideas, so we spent weeks working together on ideas, locations, outfits, and storyboards. We decided to use a Super 8 film effect to enhance the song’s storytelling, to visually separate the two individuals whose relationship is falling apart. The masks are vintage. I found them on a somewhat sketchy website over a year ago, and I knew they would be perfect for the video, not just for their aesthetic appeal but also for the story.”

Souvenirs is set for release on July 17th via Marshall Records. Pre-orders are available now and can be purchased here.
