Greetings, Decibel readers!
We have an especially dark and spooky set of new releases for you this week! Well, we are a metal publication and I have a tendency to pick black metal and death metal most of the time. So I guess that’s every week. But hey, the shoe still fits when you’ve got Blackbraid, Crypt Sermon, and three different variations of death metal to look forward to.
You know why you came here.

Blackbraid – Blackbraid III
Some bands get hyped for a good reason, after all. The latest Blackbraid album rages like a thousand storms, a stirring sound that will certainly win over fans of bands like Uada and Spectral Wound. Want to know even more about this glorious album? You’ll have to pick up Decibel #251 to get the low-down.

Crypt Sermon – Saturnian Appendices
You know you’ve truly arrived as a band when you have your own “completists” who need to own everything you’ve made. This is definitely Crypt Sermon‘s version of that, though the release certainly stands on its own. As powerful, soaring, and haunting as ever!

Cytolysis – Surge of Cruelty
UUUUUUURRRRGGGGHHHH!!! But with guitars that sound like Fear Factory. It’s definitely a vibe!

Malthusian – The Summoning Bell
Abandon all hope, all ye who press play on this album. That is, unless, you really dig cavernous, blackened death metal. In that case, today is your lucky day.

Pustulant Flesh – Gurgling Pustulence
On the other hand, if you just want some extra-filthy death metal powered by some extra-beefy production, check this one out. I like how they manage to cram references to pustules into both their name and the album title, lol.
