A more adventurous backing track in the style of Dream Theater, there are three distinct sections
Intro: Use Db Lydian, try mixing in F minor penatonic to give a more traditional rock sound.
Section 1: This is all A minor so A Aeolian and A minor pentatonic/blues scales will work. Watch out for the third chord in the sequence, Asus2add6 contains F# which will clash with the F natural and G of Aeolian, this passes so quickly it probably be unnoticed.
Section 2: This is in E minor using a few diminished intervals to add contrast to the melodic preceding section. E Aeolian and E minor pentatonic/blues will work.
These two sections are repeated followed by a reprise of section 1 in half-time, time for an epic outro solo in A minor, Aeolian/pentatonic/blues, try some unison bends a la “Stairway to Heaven”.
