Where they from? San Antonio, Texas.
Well, with the Dolphins and Giants absolutely shitting the bed and the Viking/Bears game yet to happen, I think it’s safe to say my picks did not go well last week. Such is life! Week 2 I like The Eagles giving a point against KC, Cleveland getting 12.5 against Baltimore and the Jets (yes the Jets) getting 7.5 against Buffalo!
Why the hype?
When it’s time to grind, it is time to grind. Combining elements of d-beat, crust and good ol’ fashion grindcore, Texas merchants Noisy Neighbors have been making quite a name for themselves these past few years both in terms of music and rather dank memes on Instagram. The group likes to combine goofy pogo punk riffs with rather severe blast passages to make music that is as bouncy as it is brutal. I wonder if they could help me out with my football picks?
Latest Release?
Insolvent, self-released. The band’s sound has continued to evolve as this latest release finds them leaning even heavier into the pogo beats and goofy samples that stood out from their earlier material. Don’t get me wrong, the band will still unleash an avalanche of blast beats at a moment’s notice, but it’s good to listen to a band with a little bit of an air of levity around them. Maybe 2025 is the year of Texas grind, no?
