Beyond the Gates has announced the first wave of bands for its 2026 edition, Chapter XIV!
The festival, set to take place in Bergen, Norway in July and August next year, will feature a very special performance from EMPEROR, who will return with former members Mortiis and Faust for an exclusive set. Fans can expect a once-in-a-lifetime experience as the band revisits their roots at the iconic Grieghallen, where they recorded their legendary albums In the Nightside Eclipse and Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk.
Joining them on the bill are fellow Norwegian heavyweights 1349, ARCTURUS, and MISOTHEIST, alongside returning acts IMHA TARIKAT and THE RUINS OF BEVERAST. Also confirmed for next year’s festival is SPECTRAL WOUND, WARNING, FORTERESSE, SULPHUR AEON, and CONCRETE WINDS all confirmed to make their festival debut.
Beyond the Gates takes place in Bergen, Norway from July 29th-August 1st, 2026. Tickets are available now and can be purchased here.
