SICK JOY have announced a new album!
Titled More Forever, the upcoming album from the Brighton-based alt-rock band is the follow-up to 2022’s We’re All Gonna F*ing Die, and is scheduled to be released in January this year, via SO Recordings.
The album was recorded in a remote Spanish studio with producer Alain Johannes (QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, MARK LANEGAN, THEM CROOKED VULTURES), mixed by Josh “Hoagie” Harrison (ROYAL BLOOD, THE CURE), and mastered by Katie Tavini.
Alongside the album announcement, the band have released a brand new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; All Damage. Speaking about the new single, vocalist/guitarist Mykl Barton says, “becoming aware of negative processes that were once subconscious, but still allowing them to rule. The persistent search for some chemical absolution for allowing the darkest parts of yourself to take the reins. Seeing the deep roots of these damaging, unsustainable coping mechanisms, but also still feeling a yearn towards them. The eternally aching dichotomy that’s been a constant my entire life.”
