BYZANTINE have announced a new album!

Titled Harbingers, the upcoming album from the veteran American groove metal band is the follow-up to 2017’s The Cicada Tree, and is scheduled to be released in June this year, via Metal Blade Records.

Produced by Peter Wichers [SOILWORK, ALL THAT REMAINS, NEVERMORE], now a five-piece for the first time ever featuring founding frontman Chris ‘OJ’ Ojeda, alongside former guitarist Tony Rohrbough, bassist Ryan Postlethwait, veteran guitarist Brian Henderson, and drummer Matt Bowles, with Harbingers. Notes Ojeda, “after twenty-five years of riding the struggle bus, we’re ready to show the rock and metal world what we’re truly about.”

Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Floating Chrysanthema.

Speaking about the new song, Ojeda shares, “our bassist Ryan brought this song to the band, and we thought it hit like a sledgehammer making it the perfect introduction to our new music. Peter Wichers had a big hand in helping craft this song into its final iteration.”
