ACRES have announced a new album!
Titled The Host, the upcoming album from the South Coast-based post-hardcore band is the follow-up to 2023’s Burning Throne, and is scheduled to be released in May this year, via Tooth & Nail/Solid State Records.
“The Host represents a bold step in a new direction for us as a band, we’ve always pushed ourselves to evolve with every album and never write the same record twice,” says vocalist Ben Lumber about the new single. “This time the process was unlike anything we’ve done before, working with Landon Tewers brought a fresh perspective and added a new flair to our sound that we’re really excited about!”
Alongside the announcement of the new album, ACRES have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; Bloodlust.
“Bloodlust is a track about a toxic relationship between you and addiction, we call The Host,” shares Lumber. “It’s about giving in and giving up to it. You know it’s bad for you, but you can’t live without it. It’s the perfect way to start the record, a first peek into the downward spiral of letting the host in and letting it consume you.”
