WINTER NAMM 2014: Music Man Majesty

I’m going to be honest right off the bat, this guitar is not for me. I don’t really like that extended top horn design and I don’t like the shield center section. What I do think is cool is the updated Game Changer technology that now has an iOS app to control the settings.

So in case you don’t already know or didn’t watch the above video yet this is John Petrucci’s new signature model called the Majesty available as both a 6 and 7 string version, both with a 25.5″ scale length. The Majesty has a Basswood with Maple top and Honduran Mahogany through neck with an Ebony fretboard. It also has a custom John Petrucci Music Man® Piezo floating tremolo, made of black pearl plated, hardened steel with stainless steel saddles. 24 Medium Jumbo Stainless Steel frets, Schaller M6-IND locking tuners with black pearl buttons, Graphite acrylic resin coated body cavity and aluminum control cover and finally a pair of DiMarzio Illuminators and a Piezo bridge pickup.
