WINTER NAMM 2014: ESP Iron Cross in Snow White

Perhaps the most highly anticipated new Signature Series model for 2014 is the James Hetfield (Metallica) Iron Cross in Snow White finish, available as both an ESP model and a more budget conscious LTD version.

I’ve read a lot of people commenting on how they have been waiting for this guitar and like the press release says there is a budget LTD version and the specs are almost identical so there are going to be a lot of happy guitarists out there. Both guitars feature the EMG JH Humbuckers, a Mahogany body with Maple top, set Mahogany neck with Ebony fretboard, 22 extra jumbo frets and a Tonepros Locking TOM Bridge & Tailpiece. The differences I noticed were the Sperzel Locking tuners are switched out for LTD Locking tuners and the Schaller Security Lock strap button isn’t installed on the LTD. Both of which are upgrades that you can make yourself so I think the LTD is great value for money, obviously it is made in a different factory but I’m sure the quality is very close to the ESP version.
