Vinyl Pressing Of Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” Gives Canadian Punk Band Zex An Unexpected Boost

image from f.fwallpapers.comAfter waiting months for the vinyl release of Beyoncé’s “Lemonade,” fans got quite a surprise. “Uphill Battle”, an album by Canadian punk band Zex was pressed on to the lemon-yellow vinyl instead of  Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” tracks.

“Human error” at the Celebrate Records vinyl plant in Germany, placed  Uphill Battle, an album by punk rockers Zex, on the A side of the yellow vinyl pressing of  Beyoncé’s “Lemonade.” Beyoncé’s label, Columbia Records, has apologized  and is offering a free replacement.

The band announced the mistake on Facebook.

“Some people have been writing to the band offering to sell their copy to us, at exorbitant prices,” Zex guitarist Jo Galipeau told Slate. But not all Beyoncé fans are disappointed. “A lot of them have said, ‘Oh I like the surprise that I got on the other side, it’s good music,’ even though it’s not what they paid for.”

“The negligence involved is unreal,” said singer Gretchen Steel. “I guess it happened, and they went out, and it’s pretty shocking, but we’re all laughing really hard.”
